Air ambulances can save lives and would have the support of a small auto insurance accepted. I suppose all this happened because the accident of Richard Hammond. During his recovery, I can comfort, that his tragic accident has raised this issue. See you soon in Top Gear! It is a great show and should be continued. Best wishes for the rest of the team. You need to feel shocked at this stage shell.

How about a suggestion ....
instead of imposing the costs for motorists (espescailly those who actually pay the car insurance), regardless of their funding through taxes or voluntary contributions, if the central government seen as too costly, perhaps the lottery?
If the driver for contributions, the fuel tax bite have (theres almost no way for the small source of revenue for the government excaping)
Well ... Ohio and Michigan, and made a big hit with the insurance companies. And besides, we have ambulances, "a lot of air" in my area with many hospital systems and large (between Ann Arbor, Detroit and Toledo).
